Small Snake Enclosure

Kritter’s Crumble can also be used for other smaller species of pythons, boas and colubrids.

Before keeping or setting up any snake. It is important to research and understand the animal’s needs. Visit websites, read books and list your animal’s specific needs.

All animals need:

  • Food and to produce waste
  • Water
  • Shelter/ somewhere to sleep
  • Space/ somewhere to live
  • Appropriate substrate
  • Temperature is appropriate
  • Lighting
  • Ventilation / airflow

The Stimson’s python is a ground dwelling and a climbing species.  It prefers a temperature between (24° to 34° Celsius) or (74° to 92° Fahrenheit). So ensure you provide heat for your animal.

Ensure the snakes enclosure is clean before setting up. Spread a 3cm or 1 inch layer of Kritter's Crumble on the floor of the enclosure.

The Stimson’s python likes to climb so fix a perch in place in the enclosure. Provide a suitable heat source and remember all reptiles require heat.

Add a bowl of fresh water and remember to check daily. Add a hide to give the snake somewhere to shelter and sleep. Place a rock in the enclosure. The rough surface of the rock will assist the snake in shedding its skin.

Before cleaning, remove the snake to a sealed, ventilated container. When spot cleaning and removing droppings and Kritter’s Crumble, use a large spoon or put on disposable gloves to remove the waste. Now recycle the waste in the compost, in the garden or on the lawn.

Ensure cleaning is done regularly and replace the entire contents of Kritter’s Crumble every 3 months or as required.

Venomous Snake (King Brown) Enclosure

Do not handle a venomous snake unless you are qualified or are an experienced venomous snake handler.

Kritter’s Crumble can also be used for other species of venomous snakes.

Before keeping or setting up any venomous snake.  It is important to research and understand the animals needs. Visit websites, read books and list your animals specific needs. Also check with your own state or Country regarding licensing for keeping venomous snakes.
